parent teacher organizations
The Sunday schools at Little Bulgarian School in Chicago have fully functional PTOs. They are on a volunteer basis and are supporting the organization's activities. The PTOs do not take part in the management process.
The main objectives are:
1. To supervise the school activities and provide public control on the appropriate spending of the grants from Bulgaria's Ministry of Education and Science.
2. To discuss issues and propose solutions.
3. To support the organization of extracurricular activities aimed at preserving Bulgarian culture and traditions.
4. To guarantee equality in the Sunday schools, in terms of curricula, conditions, and extracurricular activities for the students.
